Which one first?
From the first roadbook to the world championship
Most riders start with an event that has a non-competitive class or no timing at all: the Dinaric Eco Raid, the Adventure Raid at Hellas or the Adventure Raid at the Morocco Desert Challenge. The next step is a full rally raid close to home – the Dinaric Rally, Hellas Rally or Rally Albania. Desert events like the Morocco Desert Challenge or the Africa Eco Race come after that, and the world championship rounds in Portugal and Morocco are for riders with several rallies behind them.
What decides most first rallies is navigation, not speed. Reading the roadbook, keeping the CAP and resetting the trip after a mistake can be learned in a week. The Roadbook Rally Bootcamp runs in May and July in time for the summer rallies, and the Morocco Rally Training in March prepares you for sand and dunes. Not sure which fits you?
