UNTAMED training principles
- safety first
- Hands-on learning
- Adaptive learning
- Personalized learning
- Individual goals
- Internal motivation
All our instructors are excellent riders with thousands of kilometers of experience but what is also important, with a knack for passing on knowledge too!
Enthusiasm, friendliness, communication, respect and equality are at the core of at all UNTAMED trainings.
Navigation, mechanics, outdoor survival… We pay great attention to mastering all of these skills as you will not get far without them. Right?
We truly believe in hands-on learning experiences. This is why our boot camps are organized far away from chaotic urban surroundings in the picturesque yet wild mountains where new challenges lurk behind each bend.
Most of the training and riding will take place in Lika and the Dalmatian
Hinterland regions of Croatia. It is also possible to visit other regions in our customized trainings
Although our boot camps are held on varied and challenging terrain, safety always comes first and all our trainings are run in a controlled environment.
The whole idea of starting the UNTAMED Riding Academy was born because there is nothing simitar to it in this region.
A lot of riders are looking for a systematic and practical training, with skilled instructors, where they can gain valuable knowledge and riding experience, and also all the skills that are crucial for safe riding, racing or world exploration.
Our trainings are designed to suit almost all riders, from off-road newbies, out-of-shape riding veterans to active riders who just need to fill some holes in their riding portfolio.
All the trainings are based on hands-on learning, ie the principle that the rider must get the most out of every meter ridden.
Every rider who finishes all of our trainings collects a whopping 2,000 kilometers of valuable riding experience!
All of the accommodation on all of our trainings has been carefully planned as it is important that everyone rests up after an adventurous and challenging riding day. These venues are chosen so that they are more than just an accommodation. We want this to also be an unforgetable experience.
Note: at weekend trainings, only one night is included in the price (Saturday / Sunday). It is possible to add more nights, with prior notice.

Folks, it was an honor!
Thanks for the awesome experience with you guys, all together super great people.
Just enjoying the memories and experiences from last week and we can’t believe that we won’t get a roadbook tomorrow.
Have a nice evening guys!!!
Looking forward to seeing you again in August!
We are addicted to being in the great outdoors which is why most of the lectures are held outside. But lectures concerning GPS training, especially the ones related to the installation of software, tracks editing, maps installing etc. are held indoors because it is more practical.
We avoid the “ex cathedra” approach. We always tend to have an individual approach and encourage dialogue, exchange of experience and cooperative hands-on learning.
UNTAMED training is tailored so that all riders and all bikes are equally welcome. We adapt and we strongly believe that the differences are precious and that these differences are what one can learn the most from. Quite often, on our training, we have both: hard enduro and big ADV bikes at the same time.
Most riders come to training with their own motorbikes. This is what we encourage. However we can also provide a limited number of motorcycles for the training.
If you are interested in renting a motorcycle, it is important to mention this when you apply for the training.
Individualism is nurtured in our trainings, but (you guessed it © ), safety comes first. All riders must wear protective equipment / clothing throughout the training, while out on the terrain.
We believe that riders know best which type of protection suits them the best. However, if needed, we are here to help less experienced riders with advice. For our training, regardless of your habits and usual riding style, we strongly recommend:
- mx / enduro boots (ie solid, plastic boots, regardless of water resistance)
- full face enduro helmet + goggles
- lightweight gloves with protectors
- full body protectors
All the necessary tools are provided for repairing and maintenance training.
However, the rider should bring / provide specialized tools for a particular brand or model of your own vehicle, especially when it comes to rare or latest models.
